CITA history

CITA is a Private Equity investor, the result of the meeting of Bpifrance and KIA (Kuwait Investment Authority). KIA had already had the opportunity to invest in France, through other structures set up with other French partners.

Originally, CITA was created in 1985. The purpose of the company was to develop economic and commercial cooperation between France and Kuwait. CITA was set up equally with major financial institutions of both countries: Elf, Paribas and IDI for France, KIA and KPC (Kuwait Petroleum Corporation) for Kuwait.

Then a fund, established with BNP and Natixis group, was raised in 2001.
